Since a long, long time ago, I have seen the name “Grammarly” all over the places. Facebook, Twitter and even Instagram were showing me Grammarly. I have friends who can’t stop talking about Grammarly, and so, one day I decided to check it out. All I can say is it totally blew me away. You might be thinking, “what’s so great about it?”. Well… let me show you why Grammarly is such a powerful tool.
I tried Grammarly for a month and this is what happened

First of all, it is FREE. You create an account for free, and you can use the free version for as long as you want. Mind you, the free version is powerful enough to help us clean up our daily writing.
Secondly, they have a Chrome extension, meaning you can install the extension and use Grammarly while you browse the internet. Whether you are checking your emails or updating your Facebook status, Grammarly is by your side to help correct any mistakes.
Next, they have a Microsoft Office add-in, which is super useful for students. You can check your paper and correct any mistakes before submission. I will definitely use Grammarly to proofread my papers before submitting them to my lecturers. There is a Windows application that you can install on your desktop or laptop. It’s convenient, with a drag-a-file feature.
The free version offers critical grammar and spelling checks (and I am loving it!).
The premium version offers:

- Vocabulary enhancement suggestions
- Genre-specific writing style checks
- Plagiarism detector that checks more than 8 billion web pages
